Icopal / Edinburgh Napier Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP)

Icopal – Monarfloor Acoustics in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University completed the 36 month Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) on the 1st January 2012. The project has now been independently assessed by the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) who are the facilitators of the grant awarded and have given the project and ‘Outstanding’ grade which the highest award is given.

The purpose of the KTP is to transfer knowledge, technology and skills to the company partner

What where the aims of Knowledge Transfer Partnerships?

To:

  • Facilitate the transfer of knowledge through projects undertaken by high calibre, recently qualified people under joint supervision from a company and an academic institution.
  • Provide company-based training for recently qualified people to enhance their business and specialist acoustic skills.
  • Stimulate and enhance business-relevant training and research undertaken by the academic institutions in the filed of Building Acoustics.
  • Increase the interaction between businesses and academic institutions, and awareness of the contribution academia can make to business development and growth

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership was funded by fifteen Government organizations led by the Technology Strategy Board. The Partnership was part-funded by Government with the balance of the costs coming from Icopal.
