Neodyl Joint Strip and Chord
Neodyl Joint Strip is an unreinforced elastomeric bitumen membrane used to bridge the expansion joint gap between adjacent waterproofing membranes.
Neodyl Chord is a flexible extruded cord made from synthetic rubber used as a joint filler/backer rod.
To form an expansion joint in the hot melt roofing system the Neodyl Joint Strip should be torch applied to each side of the expansion joint detail allowing the centre of the strip to drape / turn into the expansion joint gap. Loose The Neodyl Cord should be loose laid into the expansion joint gap and the detail is then completed by torching the Thermaweld Capsheet across the joint, taking care not to directly torch the cord itself.
