Elastoflex Solvent Free liquid waterproofing is ideally suited for use on occupied buildings that would be sensitive to the application of solvent based product, such as schools, offices, hospitals and public buildings, therefore allowing works to proceed without closure of the nearby areas.
Elastoflex Solvent Free Coating is a two component polyurethane- based product applied in two layers in conjunction with a polyester reinforcing fleece. The coating is vapour permeable, and suitable for use on both new build and remedial projects.
"Wet-on-Wet” Application
Some liquid systems are installed by applying a base coat, which is then allowed to dry, often over night risking contamination of the surface, before adding the top coat. The system then relies upon the bond between two separate layers.
Elastoflex waterproofing systems are applied in a “wet-on-wet” application. The top coat is applied while the reinforced base coat is still wet providing total integration of the two layers into a single, chemically bonded membrane. This application avoids the risk of failure from insufficient coverage, lack of inter-layer adhesion from contamination and even delamination.
Since the Elastoflex coating is applied in one operation, it allows the installation to be completed more reliably and quickly than other methods.
Intended Use
Elastoflex Solvent Free system is suitable for use as an exposed membrane in both new and refurbishment projects, particularly where traditional methods of waterproofing may prove difficult.
It is intended for use where limited foot traffic is anticipated, but may also be used in conjunction with the Elastoflex Anti-skid Walkway System on projects involving more heavily trafficked areas, such as balconies and terraces, for example.
