Sealoflex Prima Walkway Compound

Designed to provide the optimum combination of aesthetic and functional performance, Sealoflex Prima anti-skid surfacing products form an integral part of a complete system where waterproofing and surfacing are required.

Sealoflex Prima Walkway Compound is a two component, solvent free resin typically used to receive and locate the Sealoflex Prima Quartz sand to create an anti-skid walkway surface above the finished Sealoflex Prima waterproofing membrane.

1. When mixed with Sealoflex Bulking Sand (Component C).

2. Dependant on environmental conditions. Values attained at 23 °C and 50% rel humidity. Times given are reduced with higher (and increased with lower) surrounding and work surface temperatures.

Application Conditions

Apply only when atmospheric and substrate temperatures are greater than 5 °C. The surface of the substrate should be clean and dry and must be 3 °C above the dew point. If the surface is below or at dew point temperature then moisture can form at the surface and affect coating adhesion and curing.

Application Method

Levelling Slurry
Should a completely level surface be required, prior to application of the Sealoflex Prima Anti-Skid Walkway System apply Sealoflex Prima Walkway Compound mixed with Sealoflex Prima Bulking Sand as a levelling slurry.

Add component B (hardener) into component A (resin) and mix together using a high torque paddle mixer set at low speed for several minutes until no streaks are visible and a uniform consistency is achieved. To avoid mixing errors, pour the mixture into a new container and mix again.

Add the full 6.25 kg bag of the Sealoflex Prima Bulking Sand (component C) to the mixture, portion by portion, while slowly mixing with the electric paddle mixer.

Apply the slurry to the substrate at a rate of 3 to 4 kg/m2 using a 6 mm serrated metal squeegee. A spiked roller can be used to de-aerate the applied coating. Once cured, the antiskid walkway system can be applied.

Hard Wearing Walkway Course
To create the anti-skid surfacing, add component B into component A and mix together using a high torque paddle mixer set at low speed for several minutes until no streaks are visible and a uniform consistency is achieved. To avoid mixing errors, pour the mixture into a new container and mix again.

Pour the Sealoflex Prima Walkway Compound mixture and initially manipulate using a squeegee. Roller the solution to achieve an even consistency aiming to achieve a coverage rate of around 0.5 kg/m². Whilst the resin is still wet, blind the surface with the specified combination of Sealoflex Prima Quartz. Once cured, seal the compound with Sealoflex UV Clear.
