Icopal single ply green roof options add another dimension to a ballasted roof system. Both warm roof and inverted roof options can accept a green roof as a surfacing which will act as the ballast to secure the system.
- Extensive Green Roof
- Filter / Protection Fleece.
- Monarplan G membrane
- PIR Insulation.
- Icopal Vapour Control Layer.
- Concrete roof deck.
Monarplan G (glass reinforced) membrane incorporates an a fungicide additive that prevents green roof organic growth from attacking the plasticiser in the PVC membrane ensuring the membranes performance is not compromised. In warm roof applications, Monarplan G is loose laid over PIR insulation boards with all overlaps sealed by hot air welding prior to surfacing with a filter protection fleece and extensive or intensive green roof.
In inverted applications, the Monarplan G should be laid over the roof deck above a separation fleece, prior to covering with a further separation fleece. Polystyrene insulation of the appropriate thickness is subsequently laid and covered with a water reducing layer or filter fleece before being surfaced with an extensive or intensive green roof.

For all Monarplan single ply roofing systems it is recommended that a minimum roof fall of 1:60 is adopted to comply with current codes of practice.
