Monarplan GF Roofing Membrane Adhered - Insulation Mechanically Fixed
Monarplan single ply adhered roof systems are suitable for most applications particularly where improved aesthetic appearance or complex geometry are important design factors. Typically, adhered or mechanically fastened applications are treated as separate items, however, combining the two methods can provide faster installation with equally reliable performance.
Monarplan GF Fleeceback is the preferred membrane when fully adhering to insulation. The membrane is fully bonded to the thermal insulation which has been mechanically fastened through the vapour control layer to the underlying deck.
- Monarplan GF Fleeceback Membrane.
- Icopal Single Ply
- Monarplan Tubular Insulation Fasteners.
- Icopal Vapour Control Layer.
- Steel roof deck sheet (0.7mm minimum)
When installed as part of a fully adhered roofing system, Monarplan GF Fleeceback membrane (1.5mm + fleece) is applied to the compatible insulation using Icopal Single Ply Fleeceback Adhesive. Full adhesion is achieved by spreading and thoroughly rolling the adhesive across the whole substrate area, prior to embedment of the fleeceback membrane. Once laid into the adhesive, the Monarplan GF membrane should be rolled with a weighted roller in 15 minute intervals until 45 minutes have elapsed to achieve full adhesion. Adjoining sheets are fused together by hot air welding ensuring a watertight seal is achieved.
For all Monarplan single ply roofing systems it is recommended that a minimum roof fall of 1:60 is adopted to comply with current codes of practice.
