Fully adhered systems are suitable for most applications particularly where improved aesthetic appearance or complex geometry are important design factors.
In fully adhered single ply roof systems the insulation is secured to bonded vcl with insulation adhesive. The roof membrane is then secured to the insulation using a special cold applied membrane adhesive.

Icopal Universal® single ply membrane is secured to the insulation boards using a special cold applied spray adhesive. The adhesive is sprayed across the insulation boards and back of the Icopal Universal membrane which is then rolled into the adhesive. The adjacent sheets of membrane are positioned to allow for an overlap, which are then hot-air welded together with a hot-air welder to provide a continuous waterproof covering.
Insulation Attachment
Prior to the installation of the waterproofing, a fully bonded vapour control layer is applied to the prepared structural deck. Insulation adhesive is applied to the upper surface of the vapour control layer and the insulation boards are bedded on top. Alternatively, in some situations the insulation boards may be mechanically fastened to the structural deck. The number of fixings and the application pattern is dependent upon the size and type of insulation board.
Icopal offers a range of thermal insulation boards.
