Level growing medium thoroughly before laying the mats. Lay mats manually, with the minimum of 2 persons required. Discard any dry, damaged, frosty or waterlogged mats.
Lay mats diagonally or perpendicular to slope of roof. Butt joints together to prevent gaps. Do not stretch mats. As laying proceeds, firm mats to ensure full contact with the growing medium. Do not use rollers.
Finish edges using whole mats. Brush in dressing to fill joints.
Water thoroughly, immediately after laying and dressing entire build-up is water saturated (30 litres/metre squared). Continue watering 2-3 times with 30 litres metre squared to keep moist until fully rooted in.
Mats that are not installed on day of delivery must be rolled out and watered immediately afterwards and kept moist.
Rolled out vegetation mats can be stored for 1-2 weeks if kept moist.
